• This monster is named after the Salpinx, a trumpet-like instrument of ancient Greece.
  • This monster's theme of an angel blowing a trumpet near disasters may be inspired by Judgment Day, where seven angels are said to sound a trumpet to herald in the end of days.
• The salpinx's clothes are mysterious. Despite being completely open in front her nipples are just barely hidden by her clothes when she stands and moves about. The same goes for her lower privates. They are designed to evoke images of a peaceful moonlit night, bedrooms, and pajamas. (source: Personal communication with KC)
• The mass that fell from the sky mentioned in the profile was originally something that would have turned the water bitter and caused a fever and death, their bodies turning white like burnt ash. Due to the salpinx's powers, the mass was replaced with a different mass that originated from the abyssal monsters. To some extent what form the disaster they transform takes is determined by what the disaster originally was going to be as well as the scale of the original disaster, and the salpinx has no willful control over it. In fact, should the result be large-scale monsterization they may look surprised or somewhat apologetic (though also aroused at the sights). (source: Personal communication with KC)

• While the salpinx's preferred pose is suited to lying down and lazing about, they have angel mentalities, so many are actually earnest and hardworking. • Regarding their relationship with the extremist faction, their ideals do not quite align. The salpinx do not have a goal to turn the world into a mamono realm, or all human women into monsters, they simply seek to make the world a place where disasters are prevented. However, their interests are aligned with the extremists in the sense that they both seek to prevent disasters and tragedies in human lands, so they tend to cooperate and get along well. • Which deity they served before becoming monsters is a secret for the time being. Their four wings mark them as mid-rank angels like the valkyries and cupids. That there is still white in their wings is indicative of how their mentality hasn't changed much since becoming monster girls, they simply became a little lewd. • The design of their trumpets changed when they became monster girls, namely gaining the heart designs. That said, the seven distinct pieces lining their trumpets were originally present, and may hold some meaning. Called "The Trumpet of the End," these trumpets are ancient relics that appear from out of nowhere whenever a new salpinx is born. The exact mechanisms of how the trumpets work are a mystery. • The intent behind the design of their eyes was to be blazing and bewitching, but also calm and peaceful to show their inner selves despite being fallen angels. The ring on their arm is like the halos of other angels, a massive concentration of angelic power given form. The ring is on their arm instead of their head because it helps them put their energy into their performances. Their necklace is also made of this angelic energy. • The false stories of them causing disasters originate in part due to people not knowing something much worse would have happened if they hadn't intervened, and in part due to observers simply finding the red light from their trumpets ominous and disturbing. • They are not allied with the fallen god, having become monster girls with a firm purpose distinct from that of the fallen god's angels (and while they are under the authority of the Mamono Lord, they do not actively serve her either).
