• They are designed to give opposing impressions. On the one hand they have a "mob boss" look, as they can take charge of even rowdy monsters like oni. • The darkness shrouding them barely reflects any light, and doesn't brighten even if light shines directly on it. Thus it is drawn with no shadows, like the sphere of a dark matter, with only purple highlights standing out. Her eyes show the same darkness.
