• This monster is inspired by the Ancient Egyptian god Khepri. Represented as a scarab, Khepri was sometimes seen as an aspect of the sun god Ra.
• Khepri's habit of rolling mamono mana into balls for transport is an obvious reference to the scarab beetle's habit of rolling dung into a ball for easy transport and nesting.
