Trivia

Regarding incubi and men in general

• Once monsters become able to give birth to incubi there is a possibility of the incubus' mother's genes effecting what the incubus' child looks like. What is more likely though is that the disposition of the child may be effected to be different from the norm of her race. The examples given are an incubus with a devil mother could marry a weresheep and have a weresheep with ideology of the Radical Faction, or vice versa an incubus with a weresheep mother who marries a devil could have a devil daughter who is easygoing and likes to sleep a lot. • In addition to abilities mentioned in the settings books (incubi married to heat-loving monsters gaining resistance to heat, incubi married to aquatic monsters becoming able to breathe and swim quickly underwater, and so on), incubi married to monsters who prefer darkness, caves, etc. will gain excellent night vision. • Related to the above, incubi won't gain special abilities like lightning powers and extreme speed from a raiju simply by being married to her. However, he may gain visual acuity to a level that lets him track her high speed movements, as well as resistance to damage caused by lightning. (source: Patreon Q and A).
• Aquatic incubi do not grow gills, their ability to breathe and speak underwater is entirely magical in nature. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou, plus descriptions of underwater breathing magic in Side Guide III).
• In the age of the former mamono lords there were male inma (who all became succubi when the current Mamono Lord came to power), but they were nothing like the incubi in the current age. The ability to transform a man into an incubus is something monsters gained in order to make living with human men as married couples easier after the current Mamono Lord came to power. • It is possible for an incubus to learn to handle the mental effects of doppelganger potions and function outside of sex even with multiple copies. A powerful yoko empress in the Mist Continent is said to be accompanied by many masked servants, all of them actually her husband using doppelganger potions to split himself into a lot of copies. • For monsters that confine men for lengthy periods such as alraune and man eaters, their nectar, digestive fluids, etc. serve to keep the man's hair and body clean. It is believed waste is processed and dissolved to an extent both by magic and the monster's own fluids soaking into the man. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross). Perentie note: I get the impression KC doesn't intend to go into more detail on how waste management works for the time being, beyond that it isn't an issue we have to worry about.
• Related to the above, unwanted hair growth is managed in a rather special way. Because the purpose of facial hair and other potentially unwanted hair is mainly for protection of the skin, and the man's body is kept so protected inside the body of monsters that trap men like this, over time his body will recognize there is no need for such protection and unwanted hair growth will cease. This is similar to why man eaters have no desire to wear clothing. (source: Personal communication with Kenkou Cross).
• While they do become able to think clearly in the midst of superhuman pleasure, this does not mean an incubus is actually resistant to pleasure, at least from his wife whose body and his have adapted to experience the greatest pleasures with each other. In fact, it can be said that just like his wife becomes "weaker" to pleasure from him, he becomes "weaker" to pleasure from her over time. Orgasms for both come more frequently and more easily, and he becomes more "vulnerable" to her body so he can offer up even more essence to her.
