A peculiar kind of [[succubus]], unlike any other kind of monster. They were originally incubi who suddenly transformed into monsters. Normally, a human man can never become a monster. As of the present, there are no males among the monsters at all. When it comes down to it, an incubus is just a human warped by demonic energy. Due to the existence of spirit energy, which human men continually produce, no matter how strong the demonic energy that's imbued in their body, human men remain human.
Alps range in power wildly, some having no spiritual energy at all, what little they produce focused instead on maintaining their bodies while others are frighteningly powerful, able to drive men and women to madness with horrific
nightmares, kill them with rushes of magic through the heart, or claim entire towns for their harem with intense, burning lust.  


Alps are incubi that, deep within their heart, strongly desired to become a woman or be with a man, and used the demonic energy taken in upon becoming an Incubus, which is normally used to boost their spirit energy generation facility, to instead destroy it. As a result, they're unable to produce spirit energy and they lose all of their spirit energy. Since they are left with only demonic energy stored in their body, they change into a monster. Even after becoming alps, their hearts, values, memories, and personalities, everything other than their bodies, is still the same from when they were men. Their body has completely changed into that of a woman, yet they self-identify as men. They may not even be consciously aware of the desire to become a woman which changed them into an alp, or they may have been in denial, with the truth hidden away deep within their heart.
A man or woman who is transsexual may become an Alp, their inner wishes brought to reality through the demonic energy. Alps of this kind, male and female, are known for their intensely lustful and cheery demeanor, happy to finally be themselves and eager to try out their new bodies.

Older Alps who have sown their wild oats so to speak will be much calmer, but no less happy to take someone new to bed if they strike their fancy. Alps that are born of a Succubus or Incubus seem to be gender fluid, and able to look as they wish even easier than the formerly human Alps, who is unable to change their gender.  


Thus they are shocked by the radical physical change, and there's a huge gap between it and their male hearts, which likely confuses them. Most of them would probably say "Having sex with a man like a monster is disgusting. Impossible. I hate this." However, once the monster's instinct begins to take root in their heart and body, they'll naturally be drawn to human men. The monster's instinct within them makes a rapid change, becoming bigger. The feeling of dissatisfaction due to not having obtained any spirit energy will become unbearable, and they'll begin to strongly desire a human man. Eventually, they'll surely end up losing to the monster's instinct.
Alps physical appearance with their bodies cannot change drastically, such as having a new face. But they will alter to meet their desires. Those who wish to be more and more masculine will grow more aggro or hairy or chiseled; large muscles and long members.  


Once that happens, in a horribly confused state due to the gap between disgust and desire, they'll assault a man and have sex with him. When alps first taste the pleasure that human women and monsters obtain, which is so intense it's incomparable to what a man can experience, they may almost lose consciousness while shaking their hips without knowing what's going on. When the man's spirit energy is released and they experience ecstasy, they become enthralled by their first taste of female pleasure and the taste of spirit energy, which will be sweeter than anything they had ever eaten until then. They'll likely still be confused by the feelings in their own heart: "The man before my eyes wants more.", "I wanna have sex more." Then, when the heart of the man mixes with the pleasure of a monster inside their head, while spending days in want, they'll end up attacking and having sex with a man again. While repeating this, eventually they'll lose all resistance to having sex and making love with men while still completely retaining their own self-awareness as a man even though they used to say they hated it so much. On the contrary, they'll come to seek sex on their own and enjoy the taste of pleasure and spirit energy.
Those who wish to be more feminine will develop more feminine traits as they see fit; curvy figure and large breasts. Their default bodies are always quite androgynous, making it near impossible to tell what gender a newer Alp is until they begin altering to their desires; though many choose to keep the androgynous look.  


They were friends with other men before becoming an alp. Even after having sex over and over and completely falling in love with their human male partner, normally, they'll still treat him as a male friend, no different from how it was back in the old days. And then, they'll start to tempt and have sex with the man as if it were a matter of course, with the same feeling as inviting another male friend to hang out.
They can also alter conceptually. Beauty is in the eye of the behavior of course. Some wish to look classy, others wish to make themselves look whorish and slutty, some dapper, others dangerous and risky, some like a girl/boy next door, others an innocent little sister/brother.

Additionally, there are also alps that awaken to the joy of being a woman through this process. In that case, their body changes, rapidly growing voluptuous to invite men and their heart changes to be like that of a woman, resulting in an alp that's even more feminine than a real woman and even more lewd and lustful than a succubus.
Stealing this hat or cutting off the hair removes all magic from the Alp, leaving them completely at the mercy of whoever has taken it until it's returned. It is considered cruel and distasteful to do this to a non-hostile Alp, but as with all monster girls, there are some that are feral or even actively evil.
 
While it takes energy to shift their bodies, once a shift has been made, it requires no energy to maintain. Their magic can also be used to affect the minds of others, usually in the forms of dreams. They can generate emotions in others, making them more afraid, angrier, more excited or lustful (used to great effect in bed of course).
 
Malicious or even outright evil Apls will occasionally attempt to make entire towns their harems, by force or trickery if necessary.
 
They enjoy talking among each other in a sort of communal lounge their minds take them to in their dreams. They swap stories, inspiring, amusing, and seducing one another. The one who has the best story is rewarded with a night full of pleasure in the lounge before they wake.

Alps are a unique form of mamono. They are generally androgynous and, as most are the result of transsexual humans being filled with demonic energy (usually from an attack from a Succubus or intentionally from a mage), the more an Alp looks like one gender the more likely they are to have been the other in their life as a human.

Alps can also be born directly as an Alp if the father or mother was an incubus or succubus respectively. Such Alps rarely identify as one gender or the other, using their shapeshifting to look as masculine or feminine as they wish on any given day.

  • The Alp is the only monster to originate from a (living) human male.
