The Zipangu Region is a monster-friendly region in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia (MGE) universe that has many variations of monsters whose interactions with humans range from friendly, to aggressive, and everywhere in between.
Culture
Unlike most of the other locations in the MGE universe, the humans and mamono living in the Zipangu Region share a much more casual and friendly relationship.
Their are even instances where some mamono are worshiped as gods by humans and other mamono, such as the Ryu and Inari.
Even on occasions where the human man is pursued by a mamono that's seeking a husband, most of these intances turn out to be much less violent. In fact, many such attacks end with the mamono becoming a devoted wife to the man.
However, despite a majority of mamono in the Zipangu Region being much more gentle than their counterparts in the rest of the world, there are still a few (namely the Ushi-Oni) that are known to violently assault men in pursuit of intercourse.
Geography
The Zipangu Region contains a wide variety of different terrains.
Human Settlements
The human settlements in the Zipangu Region bear a striking resemblance to those of feudal-era Japan.
- Shrines: Due to some people worshiping the Ryu as water gods, shrines dedicated to them are believed to have been erected. These shrines serve as places of worship and are likely where offerings to the Ryu are made. The Shirohebi, who serve as miko to the Ryu are likely to reside here as well.

- Shinobi Villages: Deep within the mountainous areas of the Zipangu Region are the villages known as shinobi villages. These villages are where the Kunoichi live and train. Also, once a kunoichi finds a man that strikes her fancy, she will bring him back with her.
Inhabitants
In addition to the humans who inhabit the Zipangu Region, the mamono residing there include:
