• This monster is named for the deity of the same name from the Greater Cthulhu Mythos, the deity was created by Clark Ashton Smith, a literary friend of H.P. Lovecraft. Atlach-Nacha first appeared in Ashton Smith's short story The Seven Geases(1934)<ref>Clark Ashton Smith deities</ref>
