* By developing their mamono mana and intelligence over time via being married, a sandworm can learn how to shrink her shell down to the point that she looks rather like a lamia, allowing her to go into towns with her husband. It is a ring fitted in the middle of the outer shell, which causes the body below that point to enter a pocket dimension.
